Wonderlust: Apple's Annual Event where iPhone 15 and several other Devices Might be Revealed

Apple has sent out invites for its annual event on Tuesday, where the iPhone 15 and several other devices might be revealed. The product unveiling showcase will be held at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, on September 12. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (10:30 pm IST). The invite also features an Apple logo in blue and gold, with a text reading: "Wonderlust."

This falls within Apple's usual timeline of holding its iPhone launch event in mid-to-late September. Last year's event for the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Ultra event was held Sept. 7, 2022. This year, four new models – including two standard iPhone 15 models and two high-end iPhone 15 Pro variants – are expected to be unveiled on September 12.

The iPhone 15 series, according to The Times Of India, will most likely feature the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a periscope camera, one of the major highlights of the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to be powered by the A17 Bionic processor, which is believed to be a significant upgrade over the A16 Bionic processor, an essential part of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

A new device, the Apple Vision Pro, is anticipated to appear. This AR/VR headset was unveiled at WWDC 2023 in June and is expected to be available for customers in early 2024, not during the fall. Apple is likely to promote this advancement in personal technology, even though the $3,500 price tag might mainly appeal to businesses.

Rumors suggest the iPhone 15 will adopt USB-C across all models this year. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the A16 bionic chipset will be exclusive to the pricier Pro and Pro Max models. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 15 and Plus models will retain the A15 chip from last year's premium iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. This aligns with Apple's recent pattern of reserving the latest mobile chipsets for the top-tier models. On a positive note, the standard models are expected to replace the notch with the versatile Dynamic Island.
