Will Snoop Dogg Endorse BudBlockz, Like Elon Musk Endorsed Dogecoin?
Published on

Since 2020, we've seen the rise of celebrities getting involved in Web3 projects. One of the best examples of that sort of thing is probably Elon Musk getting involved in Dogecoin. While Musk was not involved in creating Dogecoin, he was certainly involved in the coin's continued growth. Despite the coin being created in 2013, it only came to mainstream consciousness when Elon Musk started tweeting about its existence in 2021. Of course, since Dogecoin was a meme coin, most of Musk's tweets were somewhat farcical.

But the market didn't respond in a farcical manner. Within hours of Musk's first tweet, the coin grew by over 800%. With Musk popularizing Dogecoin more frequently, even more people started to pick it up. Before long, Dogecoin had gone from a meme coin that was only popular in niche Web3 circles to a popular coin that could rival Bitcoin. It was like the history of the coin was being rewritten in real-time. Soon enough, people started floating ideas about Tesla accepting Dogecoin as an acceptable mode of payment. Some even started using it to pay for tickets.

While the fervor around Dogecoin has reduced since 2021, the growth of the coin shows what can happen when celebrities get involved with projects. That's why a lot of people have been wondering what project a huge celebrity will get involved with next.

For many, that project was the Bored Ape NFTs. The NFT collection went from a collection with a $200 floor to one with a $100,000 floor within a few months just because celebrities bought into the project. Celebrities like Stephen Curry, Post Malone, and Jimmy Fallon bought NFTs and instantly increased the reach and value of the entire collection. However, while the hype for that particular project may be dying off because of the crypto winter, there's another project in the works that could interest celebrities. BudBlockz is the name.

BudBlockz is a basically decentralized Amazon for cannabis, and it's difficult to find a more interesting project for celebrities today. For one, it has everything required to be a long-term success. It will not fall off because of a reduction in the hype, and it certainly has intrinsic utility. The project will bring together thousands of cannabis enthusiasts in a virtual environment where they can sell, buy and even earn weight cannabis.

The token of the platform is $Blunt, and it will certainly increase in price as interest inevitably grows. While many celebrities may not want to touch the project because of the stigma associated with cannabis use, a few will not be deterred. Celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Whiz Khalifa will certainly be interested in the project as its community continues to grow.

Very few projects have been able to combine cannabis use and decentralization, and BudBlockz is the first of its kind to do it so efficiently. We'll certainly not be surprised to see interest in the project rising in the next few weeks. And we'll surely be even less surprised when celebrities who are cannabis users get on the train of the project.
