The Greater Demon Enters! Elon Hints at Making Drone Weapons to Scare Russia
Published on

Musk will make drone weapons to stop Russian aggression in Ukraine. Or is it just a meme?

The ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war can remind us of World War II, all thanks to the self-destructing Kamikaze killer drones. Elon Musk, the adventurous entrepreneur who can envision human colonies on Mars and also has come a long way in his mission, want to teach Russia a lesson. Starlink, a private internet access service provided by Elon Musk is being constantly attacked by the Russian Army. It is the only link to the outer world, civilians and Government officials and Ukrainian equally are depending on it to deliver on-ground services. "Definitely @elonmusk is among the world's top private donors supporting Ukraine. Starlink is an essential element of our critical infrastructure", Ukraine's vice prime minister and minister of digital transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted. "

In view of impending destruction in Ukraine, and the cost of supporting Starlink thereof, the tech baron has issued a warning to Russia, threatening to launch a drone war. Starlink services has cost Elon's SpaceX a whopping $80 M which is expected to reach $100 M by the end of the year and may sum up to $400 M for the next 12 months. SpaceX shipped around 20,000 Starlink terminals to Ukraine which are currently being funded by SpaceX, USAid, Poland, the EU and private companies. "Starlink is only comms system still working at warfront – others all dead. Russia is actively trying to kill Starlink. To safeguard, SpaceX has diverted massive resources towards defense.", said Musk.

He posted about Kamikaze drones and then said "Should I make weapons?" and in the same breath said, "Ideally, not." It is not a threat in a real sense and hopefully a passing thought. He is notorious for posting random thoughts on Twitter which mostly are signboards to nowhere land. However, his actions on the ground speak louder than his scanty words on the messaging app. SpaceX satellites are already in the warzone helping Ukrainian Military drone weapons equipped with anti-tank grenades to destroy Russian tanks and army trucks. "Starlink is the primary communications system of the Ukrainian army on the war front. If anyone else wants this job, please be my guest." Musk tweeted on Oct 14th.

The serial entrepreneur has been tweeting constantly about the Russia-Ukrainian war demonstrating his commitment towards Ukraine in the ongoing war. He has genuine fears that the current conflict can turn into World War III, with Russia already threatening to deploy nuclear weapons. Even as Ukraine is under severe war pressure seeking help from organizations from NATO and European Union, Musk is very much against Ukraine being part of these organizations, as Putin considers them a threat to the country's sovereignty.

From the interventions in the war, it is obvious that his sole intention is to help Ukraine and not make weapons per se.  The billionaire entrepreneur tweeted putting pressure on the US Department of Defence and NATO to fund Starlink in Ukraine only to retract it a few hours later. He said he would support Starlink in Ukraine even if his company has to bear losses. "The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we'll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free," Musk tweeted. And in a recent tweet, though he dubbed the Russia-Ukraine war as Drone War I, it only hints at the art of making up phrases by a curious technopreneur. Psst….another typical Elon Musk signboard!!
