Elon Musk raised $44 billion to purchase Twitter last year, and he now wants to gather further funds to help him construct the ultimate ChatGPT competitor and fight with OpenAI.
According to SEC filings, Musk is seeking $1 billion for his AI business X.AI, which already has four investors and a total capital of $135 million raised.
Musk has been vocal about the future of AI, even criticizing the need to rush AI chatbots without considering the consequences of the technology.
Having said that, Musk's X Corp has released Grok AI, which is currently accessible to X Premium+ members, and Grok AI is stated to be unlike any other AI chatbot on the market.
Musk established Grok to compete with OpenAI, another AI business in which he was involved.
