OpenAI has formed a cooperation to integrate ChatGPT into classrooms on January 19 (IANS) at Arizona State University (ASU), in the city of San Francisco, United States. The university became the first higher education institution to partner with OpenAI and introduce ChatGPT in AI education. OpenAI is the AI research and deployment business that developed ChatGPT. Beginning in February, ASU will solicit applications from academics and staff for creative uses of ChatGPT Enterprise.
The three main areas of focus in AI education are: improving student achievement, developing new pathways for innovative research, and optimizing organizational procedures.
"By providing access to advanced AI capabilities, these tools are levelling the playing field, allowing individuals and organizations – regardless of size or resources – to harness the power of AI for creative and innovative endeavors," said Lev Gonick, the chief information officer at Arizona State University.
The cooperation between ASU and OpenAI delivers AI Chatbot, ChatGPT Enterprise's advanced capabilities to higher education, establishing a new standard for how institutions improve learning, innovation, and student results.
"Our collaboration with OpenAI reflects our philosophy and our commitment to participating directly in the responsible evolution of AI learning technologies," stated Michael M. Crow, president of Arizona State University.
The platform prioritizes user privacy by using enterprise-grade security mechanisms to protect user data. According to the institution, these steps are precisely developed to guard against digital threats while also offering a safe environment for users to use the platform's features. "Learning is essential to why so many people use ChatGPT. "ASU continues to lead in innovation by incorporating ChatGPT into its educational programs," stated OpenAI Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap.
"We're keen to learn from ASU and to work towards expanding ChatGPT's impact in higher education."
