Global Brands that are going big on Metaverse

In a world that is adapting to the metaverse, these global brands are not behind in the race

Top global brands have been inspired by Metaverse. Brands like Adidas, Nike, and Walmart are gradually adapting metaverse. The article mentions global brands that are going big on Metaverse.

These massive worldwide retailers are now establishing their stores in the metaverse in preparation for a new digital market after dominating online and e-commerce.

Global retail behemoths like Walmart, Nike, Adidas, and Balenciaga are now building up their stores in the metaverse to prepare for a new digital market that is tipped to be the next big thing in the virtual world after establishing their global brick-and-mortar empires and e-commerce businesses.

Louis Vuitton

Customers can play as Louis Vuitton’s mascot Vivienne in the brand’s first online game, which was released in August 2021.

Players in this action-adventure game must gather NFTs to be eligible for an NFT raffle in which they can win the more expensive NFTs from the luxury brand.

Like many other companies involved in this game, Louis Vuitton has released a statement expressing their optimism for the burgeoning metaverse culture.

Walmart

Roblox, a game platform, and Walmart have teamed up to help Walmart enter the Metaverse.

Walmart intends to open online shops where customers can browse virtually identical versions of the goods displayed in Walmart’s physical locations.

The business also intends to include a Walmart blimp (airship) that will drop toys in the game.

Recently, Walmart expressed interest in selling virtual items and stated that it was eager to plan events in the metaverse.

Walmart wants to appeal to Gen-Z consumers who are very interested in technology and the metaverse.

Balenciaga

By introducing their skins-digital clothes that alter the appearance of video game characters-under their brand name in the game Fortnite in September 2021, fashion house Balenciaga entered the metaverse.

It is one of the first brands to do so, and by doing so, Balenciaga has made a statement that it is supporting Gen-Z culture. This has improved their reputation in the market and attracted a lot of contemporary hype from “beasts” (or individuals who are obsessed with purchasing trendy items, especially branded clothing, and shoes) to get their hands on the brand’s most recent releases, including its collaboration with Fortnite.

Adidas

Adidas has unveiled Genesis, the name of their first virtual gear line.

You may purchase this digital clothing line on the NFT store Opensea.

They collaborated with the founders of the NFT-collection businesses Bored Ape Yacht Club, Gmoney, and Punks Comic to generate these non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to Scott Zalaznik, the chief digital officer of Adidas, blockchain technology has created a significant opportunity for businesses.

Nike

Nikeland, an interactive world where individuals can play games relating to sports, was introduced in November 2021 as a result of their partnership with ROBLOX.

In a move that highlighted the sportswear giant’s intentions to grow in the metaverse, Nike purchased RTFKT December 2021, a company that specialized in creating sneakers NFTs.

Via Nikeland, customers may engage with athletes, such as basketball player Lebron James, and buy their goods.
