In January, just days after North Korea launched three ballistic missiles into the sea, a group of South Korean spies and American private investigators quietly gathered at the South Korean intelligence service. For several months, they had been following the theft of US$100 million from Harmony, a cryptocurrency company in California. They were waiting for North Korean hackers to move the stolen cryptocurrency into accounts where it could eventually be converted into dollars or Chinese yuan, a hard currency that could be used to fund China's illegal missile program.
