The new AI chip that Etched has released and named Sohu is billed to surpass even the most advanced Nvidia H100 GPU by 20 times in terms of speed for running AI models like ChatGPT. This chip design mainly targets transformer models, which are needed when running large language models like ChatGPT. By feeding exclusively on these models, Sohu could channel more computational power to them, which potentially can make out-of-box, huge strides in AI capabilities based on specialization. Such specialization is expected to open new vistas for applications in AI and make the processes so much more efficient in viewing real-time, multimodal, and multilingual AI interactions.

In a massive move, Mt. Gox's cold wallet sends more than 140,000 BTC after two weeks of dormancy, raising concerns over their impact on the market. In aggregate, Mt. Gox's Bitcoin transactions tallied approximately 190,000 BTC on July 16, moving over US$12 billion in value in under three hours. The destination address, ending in "BHDct9b," received 42,587 BTC worth US$2.69 billion. The remaining amount of 4,641.24 BTC, worth US$293.94 million, was transferred to "Mt. Gox: Cold Wallet (1Jbez). Contrary to the "BHDct9b" address, which has not transferred the 42,587 BTC, partly resulting in a fear change in the market sentiment toward BTC, thereby falling in value. Not long after that, another 48,641 BTC were sent to another unknown address, shifting an additional US$3.07 billion in holdings from the main Mt. Gox wallet.
