IT giant HCLTech reported on May 23 that, according to a trade filing, it plans to secure specific resources of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) Communications Technology Group (CTG) for $225 million, roughly ₹1,874 crore, in an all-cash exchange.
According to a joint statement from the companies, around 1,500 representatives and 700 contractors experienced in telecom building services over different countries—such as Spain, Italy, India, Japan, China, the Americas, and the APAC region—will move to HCLTech as part of the agreement.
HCLTech stated in a regulatory filing that the deal includes the “purchase of certain resources (CSS) of Communications Technology Group, a commerce division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company." CSS conveys engineering administrations to drive worldwide communications service providers (CSPs) by leveraging its intellectual properties in a global conveyance model, with a total buy cost of $225 million.
This security will support HCL Technologies' position in the telecom segment by upgrading its engineering administrations and utilizing CSS' intellectual property, arrangements, and ability at prominent CSPs throughout Europe, Japan, the Americas, and the APAC region, including 20 of the top 30 CSPs worldwide.
