According to a recent source, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has declared that it will be employing 10,000 fresh graduates, indicating that its second "hiring phase" will begin later this month. According to a TOI report, this action gives colleges and students some hope in the face of declining IT sector recruitment efforts, which are being attributed to low demand.
Based on information acquired from many universities, the National Qualifier Test (NQT) is being used to bring on new talent. Utilizing TCS iON as its power source, the NQT functions as a thorough skills evaluation tool, evaluating candidates' cognitive capacities and job-specific competencies. Interestingly, this platform's use isn't confined to internal hiring within the Tata Group (TCS, Titan); it can also be leveraged by other companies.
TCS i scheduled by test for April 26, which comes with the deadline of April 10 for graduate students. The first round of recruiting revolves around "priority colleges," whereas the second round covers a broad range of institutions.
You can expect three hiring categories from TCS ranging from Ninja, Prime, and Digital. Different compensation packages are designed for these three tires. Through the Ninja tier, you can expect an annual package worth Rs 3.36 lakh, while the Digital tier provides a yearly package of 7 lakhs and the Prime tier ranges between them.
The hiring trend went skyrocketing in January, and a recruitment campaign was launched last month by the top IT companies. Earlier, Milind Lakkad Chief HR Officer of TCS mentioned that TCS was so elated about student recruitment from universities. "We have commenced our campus hiring process for the next year and see tremendous excitement among freshers to join TCS." Staying true to its words, TCS had given it thought to hire 40 thousand freshers from the duration 2023 to 2024
