Calling all tech buffs out there! The day finally arrives as the release of an official glimpse of what's coming in with the Oppo A3 draws closer. Some just recently leaked image teasers have been getting quite abuzz; they clearly gave a hint about what this upcoming smartphone design and features would look like. Though Oppo had refused to comment on any further leakage, these images revealed a lot more about what was to be expected by the A3.

A Familiar Design with a Flat Twist

Judging from the leaked images, Oppo A3 takes most of its design cues from its Pro sibling which, of course, is the Oppo A3 Pro that was launched in the early quarters of this year. The first similarity one would notice is the large, immersive display. Speculations have a sizable 6.7" touchscreen display with a high resolution of 1080 x 2412, plenty to provide entertainment in multimedia formats and gaming. Interestingly, the key difference lies in the display itself.

Unlike the A3 Pro, which is a curved display, the A3 is said to sport a flat-screen design. This would make for quite a refreshing change for those who do like their traditional feel when it comes to ergonomics.

Camera System: A Triple Threat

Leaked images reveal the partial view of the rear camera setup. There is no detailed information we can provide regarding this since it's not completely revealed, but one thing is for sure—we are looking at a triple-camera variant. There will reportedly be a main sensor: a respectable 50-megapixel shooter promising high-quality photos and videos.

The other two sensors are yet to be discovered. One could be a 2MP secondary sensor for gathering depth information, generally used for portrait mode photography. This other sensor could be something used for detailed close-up shots or even just a simplistic aesthetic accessory.

Under the Hood: A Speculative Peek

Although Oppo has not officially disclosed the processor name for the A3, speculations appear to center on two possible options: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and the Snapdragon 695. This places a mid-series, neither heavy nor light/lightweight on performance.

These chips hint that Oppo has created the A3 for pretty standard users who are more interested in everyday chores, social media, or light gaming.

Memory and Storage

According to the leaked information, there had been three triplets regarding RAM and storage combinations trailed for the Oppo A3: 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB of storage, and at the high end, 12GB RAM with 512GB of storage. This caters to a great deal of user needs.

The option for 8GB RAM will be enough for most users, while higher RAM configurations would really benefit power users who do a lot of multitasking and play graphically demanding games. The storage options will allow flexibility; for example, the 256GB and 512GB options are able to accommodate apps, photos, videos, and music.

Battery Life

Leaked information claims that the Oppo A3 will have the big 5,000mAh battery. This could turn into very good news for those who want long battery life. At this capacity, the A3 should be able to sail through a full day of moderate use. Besides, Oppo might add its fast-charging technology to fill up batteries at super speeds when needed.
