OnePlus has revealed the schedule for its ‘Summer Launch Event’, which will unveil several new tech gadgets. These include the OnePlus Nord 4, Watch 2R, and Buds 3 Pro. There has been a flurry of speculation among tech enthusiasts over the last few weeks regarding these devices. It's believed that the OnePlus Nord 4 will be a rebranded model of the OnePlus Ace 3V, which made its debut in China in March.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Watch 2R might be a modified version of the current OnePlus Watch 2, introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in February.
The firm announced through a dedicated microsite that the OnePlus Summer Launch Event is scheduled for July 16 in Milan, Italy. The invitation seems to be engraved on a metal plate, indicating that one of the forthcoming products is a smartphone featuring a metal exterior. Despite this, there is no official release from the company regarding the product releases that are expected to be made at the event.
According to rumors, the phone called the OnePlus Nord 4 is to be launched today. This is backed by a teaser shared on the OnePlus India X account which hosts the word “nord” in metallic silver. This implies that the handset is on the verge of being launched in India.
In a tweet, Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) shared on X that the firm is expected to reveal three new items at its OnePlus Summer Launch Event, including the OnePlus Nord 4, OnePlus Buds 3 Pro, and OnePlus Watch 2R.
Replacing the OnePlus Nord 3, the Nord 4 is rumored to be a revamped version of the OnePlus 3V, set to debut in China earlier this year. Based on recent news, it is expected to feature a 6.74-inch 120Hz 1.5K OLED screen from the Tianma U8+ and a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The device is expected to use a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip and include a 5,500mAh battery along with support for 100W fast charging. It is anticipated to be available for Rs. 31,999 in India.
A recent disclosure indicated that the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 is anticipated to keep the earphone design observed in the OnePlus Buds 3. In addition to its features such as an equalizer, wear detection, Fast Pair, Dolby Atmos, and Zen Mode Air, the rumored earphones are also expected to have the capability to connect to two devices, support for a camera shutter, enable headphone recording, and provide spatial audio.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Watch 2R could be the OnePlus Watch 2 with some additional features added to it. The speculated Apple smartwatch has been spotted on several certification sites like the Bureau of Indian Standards implying that it might soon launch in India.
