GTA 6 could take up a lot of space on your console. Ahead of its November 19 launch, GTA 6 game size has been released for PlayStation 5. According to reports, the Standard edition of the game may take up 210 GB of storage on PS5. The size of the Deluxe edition of the game is not yet known even Xbox players are still in confusion about the game size on Xbox Series X/S.
If the Standard edition will take up 210 GB of space on PS5, the other console players should be ready for a similar game size. However, Rockstar Games hasn’t yet confirmed the game size officially. Players may be able to pre-load it from November 12, giving them time to download it before launch.
A 210GB game could be a problem for players with many games already installed. The standard PS5 offers around 667GB of usable storage. If the reported size is correct, GTA 6 alone would take up nearly one-third of that space. Players may need to remove older games to make room. GTA 6 is three times larger in size compared to Red Dead Redemption 2.
However, there is no need to rush into buying extra storage. Rockstar has yet to share the game's final size. Waiting for official details could help players decide if an upgrade is worth the cost.

If the game comes with a massive size, the Xbox Series S may face a bigger challenge as it has a smaller drive. The 512GB model has around 364GB of usable space. The 1TB Xbox Series S offers roughly 800GB. If GTA 6 needs 210GB, it would take up a significant amount of space on the Xbox Series S console. However, Rockstar has not confirmed the Xbox file size. The file size may vary based on consoles, but the gap won’t be huge.
With GTA 6 getting closer to launch, it's a good idea to check free storage. Players can remove games they no longer use or look into extra storage if needed. For now, it is best to wait for Rockstar to confirm the final file size before spending money on an upgrade.
