The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed earlier that the firm is developing a new feature called Communities on Whatsapp that will make it easier for users to interact with the groups that are important to them and voting on Whatsapp is the new feature that will be available soon.
The function aims to unite individuals who share similar interests. Users will be able to access WhatsApp Communities starting soon. Along with Communities, WhatsApp is introducing the option to make groups with up to 1024 participants, 32-person video calls, Whatsapp voting like in-app polls, and more. We're thrilled to present our ideas for WhatsApp Communities, a brand-new feature we're introducing. We have been focused on how we can serve people ever since WhatsApp began in 2009. When launching the service, Mark Zuckerberg remarked, "We also frequently hear from users who are using WhatsApp to communicate and organize within a community."
Communities on WhatsApp can assist people in unifying disparate groups under a framework that suits them. This will make it easier for folks to communicate updates to the entire community. Additionally, it will assist people in setting up discussion groups on topics that are relevant to them. A set of admin tools, including the ability to choose which groups can be included in announcements that are emailed to everyone, will be offered with the new feature.
Users must tap on the new Communities option at the top of their chats on Android or the bottom of their chats on iOS in order to access the Communities feature.
Before the functionality was officially released, WhatsApp had long since started testing the in-chat polls tool. According to beta versions, WhatsApp will let you add up to 12 potential responses to an in-chat poll question on a different screen. WhatsApp has not yet disclosed the functionality or appearance of the feature. You must update WhatsApp from the Play Store or App Store to access the newest features.
You can add up to 1024 people to a group on WhatsApp. Currently, a group can only contain 200 members. Additionally, you can expand a group video call to include up to 32 individuals.
