According to Bloomberg, the US military and ChatGPT inventor OpenAI are collaborating on several initiatives, including cybersecurity skills. In collaboration with the Pentagon, OpenAI is creating open-source cybersecurity toolkits. Additionally, it is working with DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, on the AI cyber challenge. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, OpenAI's vice president of global affairs, Anna Makanju, revealed that the company behind ChatGPT has also had preliminary discussions with the Biden administration over strategies to help reduce veteran suicide.

Daniel Pinto, the president and CEO of JPMorgan's corporate and investment bank, told Bloomberg during his speech at Davos today, "When I look at our plans, we will increase our staff this year for sure." According to Pinto, JPMorgan's workforce has been expanding rather than contracting. JPMorgan added 16,000 employees last year, a 5% rise, throughout the business. The corporate and investment bank (CIB) had a headcount growth of 952 employees despite the last-minute cuts, a far lesser gain of 1%.

On Wednesday, EU lawmakers came to a tentative agreement on several aspects of an extensive regulation package aimed at preventing money laundering. The package required due diligence from all cryptocurrency companies before accepting new clients. The Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) was created to stop money laundering and sanctions evasion. It also establishes a supervisory body that will oversee the cryptocurrency industry and bring together a unified set of regulations.
