Hacktoberfest is a month-long open-source event in celebration of open-source software. Every year in October, it comes into play. Anyone who attends this event can help open source by making improvements and receive special gifts in exchange. Regardless of their background or prior experience with Jenkins, all are welcome to take part in and contribute to the project. In a  Hacktoberfest project, there are numerous opportunities to donate to Jenkins. One can contribute to localization, produce new artwork, or work on code or documentation.
