After being warned that it will be reducing incentives, employees at Facebook parent firm Meta are incensed and Meta removes Employees' Benefits. However, Meta removes employees' benefits to save money and there comes an expected bad response from the employees as in Meta gets Criticized. Mark Zuckerberg, the business's CEO, also voiced his discontent with some employees in August, saying that the company hires people who don't deserve to be there

At its Silicon Valley location, meta had earlier in May reduced perks like free evening meals, dry cleaning, and laundry. Due to their poor growth, many tech companies fired thousands of employees and reduced or eliminated many of their benefits. Meta took action to eliminate a number of benefits that were previously offered to employees during the past few months, just like other tech companies.

However, the Meta has scaled back its plans to eliminate employee benefits package that pay for mental health expenses and "work-life balance concerns."

According to the description on the employment page, the internet corporation formerly offered Life@benefit benefits that assisted staff in achieving their "personal and well-being goals." However, the benefits will now be lower than they were this year and will likely begin the next year.

Business Insider claims that starting in 2023, the business will reduce its "Life@ benefit" funding from $3,000 (Rs 2.43 lakh) to $2,000 (Rs 1.65 lakh). Poor macroeconomic conditions were cited as the cause for the cut by a Meta spokeswoman who apparently confirmed the decision to the publication. In an effort to save operating costs, Meta also fired 13% of its employees last month.

11,000 individuals, or 13% of Meta's global staff, have been let go as of yet. Following the layoffs, Meta now employs about 76,000 people.

To save costs, other tech behemoths like Amazon and Twitter have also let go of thousands of workers. Similar actions have been taken by tech corporations in India.

According to certain forecasts, the current weak macroeconomic situation will continue in 2019.

Due to their poor growth, many tech companies fired thousands of employees and reduced or eliminated many of their benefits. Meta took action to eliminate a number of benefits that were previously offered to employees during the past few months, just like other tech companies.

The corporation began to reorganise due to ongoing poor growth, increasing interest rates, and a potential recession. Rumors are circulating that the reduction may occur once more in the following month following the conclusion of harsher performance reviews.

The employees were undoubtedly alarmed by Meta's ruthless reduction of these benefits. The audience was undoubtedly stunned by Meta's decision to reduce these benefits this time, but we are now unsure of what additional surprises the tech company will provide to its workforce.

It remains to be seen!
