San Francisco, CA — May 26th, 2018 — Superior Court of California approves MedWhat's order for extension of time to respond to Stanford University's Stanford-StartX Fund and Caixa Bank's Caixa Capital Risc lawsuit.
The Plaintiffs' lawyers were against the extension in conversations with defendant's lawyer.
Code of Civil Procedure section 1054(a) allowed the judge to grant the extension.
The defendant's attorney contacted the plaintiff attorneys who opposed the extension that was granted by the judge.
The declarations submitted in support of the request contained sufficient facts and evidence to support the strong showing.
The defendant attorney indicates that the extensive claim requires more time to review and file a proper affirmative defense and counterclaim.
Previously, Caixa Capital Risc, one of the plaintiffs in the Stanford-StartX Fund lawsuit wanted mediation and removal of the lawsuit. The Superior Court of California Judge had made a decision of taking the lawsuit to an Alternative Dispute Resolution and make both parties go through mediation. Stanford-StartX Fund LLC., had filed a lawsuit against MedWhat.com, Inc. in the Superior Court of California in the County of San Francisco on 9th April 2018.
