How Will the New ChatGPT and Open AI Revolutionize the Business Landscape?

AI is predicted to change the nature of industry and work in ways we can't really imagine. Developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics could well see an integrated society of humans and machines.

At the moment AI tends to work behind the scenes while robots are confined to manufacturing and warehousing. We are yet to realize the full potential of the technologies. An area where AI has really made a difference is customer service with the development of the chatbot. The new ChatGPT has been heralded as a revolutionary chatbot designed to learn not just language, but the meaning behind the words. Developed by Open AI, how is it set to change the business landscape?

Let 's find out!

What is ChatGPT and Open AI?

ChatGPT is arguably the most sophisticated chatbot developed to date. Currently available for public testing, the large learning language chatbot is designed to understand the meaning behind the words humans ask of it, and it in turn retrieves the information differently depending on how it develops.

It uses something called Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF). Here, the chatbot learns from experiences, interactions, and feedback from humans and adjusts conversation accordingly.

Open AI is the company behind the new chatbot. Originally developed as a non-profit and attracted interest and investment from the likes of Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, the company's ethos was to develop an AI that was a benefit to humanity through developing responsible AI projects.

The company now has a for-profit arm and has developed the ChatGPT chatbot. Given the potential for ChatGPT, many businesses are turning towards former employee and co-founder of Open AI, AI speaker Pieter Abbeel to get a handle on the future.

Chatbots Right Now – Prepare for Change in the Current Scenario

Your average chatbot at the moment is useful but far from perfect. You type in a question and if it can it gives you an answer. The range of questions it can handle before they go into some kind of digital meltdown has to be very specific and the topics precise. They are simply not sophisticated enough to be able to glean meaning and can only respond to basic requests. If you're lucky, they'll refer you to a human being who can take on the question and provide answers and services.

That is set to change.

Based on the testing of ChatGPT one of the key things that come across is how human like it is. It is possible to hold a proper conversation with it, and with every word typed into it, it learns. This is poised to revolutionize how humans purchase products and services and interact with companies.

But it is more than that. It could be used as an interface to operate other equipment such as a car, or a home. The possibilities are endless.
