Data Science as a subject has been the Indian IT industry's top pick for 2021. It has made vast strides. Data scientists are landing crazy packages. To meet this demand for Data science, many universities have started their respective courses in Data Science. But one thing they all are failing to provide is Data Science companies to work with. Though data science has been on a roll for the past few years, it goes without saying that most of its demand is abroad, where its use has already started to shape.

Getting experience is required to get good AI and Data Science skills, but good Data Science-based internships and job opportunities are something that India is still working on. Compared to their US counterparts, the salary package also differs.

While the median annual salary in India is $11,715 (₹ 7.5 lakhs), it is$110,000 in the US and $55,441 in other 52 respondent countries on average. Indian companies are unable to fill the positions due to a lack of qualified data scientists, as there were 93,500 data science job openings in India at the end of August 2020 due to a lack of relevant profiles.
