ZyenaLABS: The Ultimate Triumph of AR and VR Technologies, Addressing the Growing Digital Need Across Industries
Published on

ZyenaLABS is an award-winning AR/VR and Gamification based Start-up that focuses particularly on technical and safety training in leading industries such as Aviation & Aerospace, Transportation, Heavy Engineering, and Healthcare. In addition to custom solutions in AR and VR, ZyenaLABS is also building a futuristic Metaverse platform called "SafeVerse" for complete safety training. Adding to this, KognitifPOD, launching in Malaysia and Dubai, will focus on virtual reality in education, research, and disaster management.

From a Small Room to Multi-National Level: An Incredible Story

In 2015, the core team identified a massive gap in understanding and accepting digital technologies in important areas such as Skill Training, Health & Safety Training, and Product Experience. ZyenaLABS was launched to raise awareness of digital transformation in several sectors and fields where it could benefit. Over the years, the company accomplished some unique developments and is the first of its kind to be rolled out on the Gamification & VR platform.

Starting from a small room in Chennai – India, ZyenaLABS was bootstrapped for more than 6 months before signing its first small contract. Like all other startups, it was also subjected to numerous risks, unforeseen challenges, and external stressors. After going through many ups and downs, ZyenaLABS is now standing as a well-known company in the EU, India, and the US. It is in the process of establishing a new VR product range under the 'KognitifPOD' brand in Malaysia and Dubai.

A Game-Changing Leader

Prahalad SK is the Founder & CEO of ZyenaLABS. He worked for nearly a decade in Digital Transformation with career spanning across companies like Nvidia, Egis International, etc., where he managed some customers such as NASA, Audi, and Bombardier. He also owns a patent for his innovation in 'optimizing a three-dimensional texture workflow'.

Prahalad SK left his lucrative career and started ZyenaLABS in late 2015. He went on to pioneer solutions for Safety Training across many industries- Digitization of MRO in the Aviation Industry, and innovative VR products for Education, Research studies, and Disaster Management.

Changing the Norms with Web 3.0 and AR/VR

Prahalad claims that with the advancement of Web 3.0 and AR/VR Technologies, ZyenaLABS is playing a prominent role in developing immersive solutions for Skill & Safety Training, Education, Research Studies, and Disaster Management. Some of the government and MNC clients managed to save enormous costs on training sessions. Furthermore, the quality of learning has improved, thus better employee engagement and fewer accidents.

AI and Cloud as a Catalyst to Virtual Reality Innovations

Prahalad opines that AI and cloud play a very positive role in modern AR and VR technologies. Numerous virtual reality solutions and AI algorithms are now being introduced into medical education, defense training, etc. On the other hand, deployment on the cloud removes the barrier of access or having a dedicated server. Today, users can connect to content from anywhere in the world and this is because of disruptive technologies.

A Paradigm Shift for Digital Solutions

Prahalad shares that globally, industries are growing and so is the thirst for new digital solutions. To drive the necessity and bring in more tailored innovation, ZyenaLABS is branched out into two companies 'SafeVerse and KognitifPOD' where a dedicated set of AR and VR products & solutions will be delivered. He also mentions that currently, the team is in discussion to partner with VR manufacturers like HTC Vive, Pico, and Oculus Quest to deliver complete solutions along with customer-branded headsets.

Surviving the Hard Times with 'Resilience'

Startups always face several obstacles, be it on a professional or personal level, sometimes a lonely journey. Talking about the big challenges that ZyenaLABS has overcome, Prahalad recalls the financial challenges, and he also says the hardest part is getting businesses to adopt digital technologies. It takes months and several series of desperate discussions with a business to arrive at a decision. "Often it is not favorable that really breaks your very strong confidence and yet we need to be resilient," he adds.

Garlands of Achievements

ZyenaLABS was the first company in India to deploy Gamification based Safety Training for Murugappa Group – an Indian conglomerate. The company is the first to pitch and deploy VR & iPad-based Technical Training Modules for Ashok Leyland, a multinational automotive and third-largest bus manufacturer in the world. Further, it is the first in the world to pitch and develop a Gamification based training for General Aviation Pilots called Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM) by partnering with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

ZyenaLABS in association with the Federal Ministry of German Transport and the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt developed a first-of-its-kind VR-based DroneTaxi Simulation where close to 500 citizens were part of the study.

To Infinity and Beyond with AR and VR

The Augmented and Virtual reality market size was valued at US$14.84 Billion in 2020 and is projected to reach US$454.73 Billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 40.7%, cites Prahalad. He continues that the increasing application of augmented reality and virtual reality in healthcare, retail, entertainment, media, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and education will boost the growth of the AR and VR market during the forecast period. On that note, Prahalad asserts that ZyenaLABS, along with its partner companies, is gearing up with futuristic platform products that not only focus on the B2B segment but bring in with more flexible approach model for the B2C as well where everyone could have the learning experience.
