– About 69% of decision makers believe Industrial Analytics will be crucial for business success in 2020, with 15% considering it crucial today.

 

– Predictive and prescriptive maintenance of machines (79%), customer/marketing related analytics (77%) and analysis of product usage in the field (76%) are the top three applications of Industrial Analytics in the next 1 to 3 years.

 

– McKinsey Global Institute predicts that the Internet of Things (IoT) will generate up to US$11 trillion in value to the global economy by 2025.

 

– The skills gap for data science professionals is enormous, with only 22% of companies having the necessary skills onboard today.
