In the ever-changing smartphone market, the struggle between industry titans — Google and Apple — continues to pique the imagination of tech aficionados and customers alike. As whispers spread regarding the upcoming release of the Google Pixel 8, which is expected to make its debut in October, just under a month after the iPhone 15 launch, excitement is reaching new heights. While both organizations are always pushing the frontiers of innovation, it is the expected enhancements that truly thrill users. Here, we look at five improvements I'd like to see in the highly anticipated Google Pixel 8 series.
Revolutionary Photography Enhancements: There's no denying that Google Pixel phones are well-known for their outstanding photography skills, and it's no secret that camera technology is one of the primary battlegrounds for smartphone dominance. I'm expecting advances that will revolutionize mobile photography with the Pixel 8. Improved low-light performance and greater optical zoom, for example, imply that, while the Pixel 8 Pro should include a telephoto lens, having it on the Pixel 8 would also be nice. Furthermore, innovative computational photography algorithms may establish new benchmarks, ensuring that Pixel 8 users take great photographs in any environment.
Extended Battery Life: Even though flagship smartphones are becoming better by the day, battery life is still a top worry for customers. A longer-lasting battery is a big changer in an age where electronics multitask and facilitate our everyday lives. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has certainly made gains in the battery arena, but the ordinary Pixel 7 has, to put it mildly, middling endurance. As a result, those who rely heavily on their smartphones throughout the day would surely appreciate a significant increase in the Pixel 8's battery capacity, along with improved power management and faster wired charging.
AI and AR Integration: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) are rapidly becoming important aspects of our smartphone experience, and Google's Pixel 7 phones are fantastic instances of how good Google is in these areas. Given Google's AI capabilities, the Pixel series is poised to deliver even more immersive and helpful AI-driven features. Consider a Pixel 8 that effortlessly incorporates AI to improve routine chores, foresee user requirements, and generate incredible AR experiences that span the digital and real worlds. I guess I went a bit too far, but I am anticipating tremendous things from the Pixel 8 series in terms of AI and AR.
Cutting Edge Technology: Smartphone displays have progressed from simple touchscreens to sophisticated high-resolution, high-refresh-rate curved panels that affect our engagement with electronics. I truly hope Google can push the limit with the Pixel 8 by providing even more novel display technologies, such as 120Hz high-refresh-rate panels with greater colour accuracy and brightness levels, even on the ordinary Pixel 8 model. I'd even want to see a symmetrical, nearly bezel-less design on both Pixel 8 versions, similar to the Galaxy S23 series. Of course, this is without sacrificing durability.
