To provide a more individualized developer experience, GitHub Copilot is developed to add chat and audio interfaces, support pull requests, respond to inquiries on docs, and use OpenAI's ChatGPT-4. The goal of Github is to add features that help software developers to innovate before the competition and provide developers with the tools they need to thrive and be more effective in a world powered by software. It was evident right away when we started working with huge language models a few years ago that generative AI was the way that software will be created in the future. With the help of the OpenAI model's Codex model, a GPT-3 ancestor, we collaborated to develop GitHub Copilot, the first at-scale generative AI development tool in the world.
Also, GitHub is introducing a chat and speech capability so that developers may use voice commands or ask inquiries. Moreover, it adds Copilot to pull requests, the command line, and documentation to assist with project-related queries. The updated version, known as Copilot X, can explain what certain sections of code are supposed to do, come up with techniques to test the code and suggest patches for errors. Developers who want to preview the new service can register for a waitlist.
