For those unaware of how to play Wordle, the game can be accessed through the New York Times website. A new puzzle is posted there every day at US midnight local time.
The game is played by guessing a five-letter word. It lights up the letters green, yellow, or even grey for incorrect letters or letters not found in that word at all. All of these advanced techniques can be used to improve the gameplay.
Advanced players can also maintain track of consonants using different techniques. For example, making combinations with the already used consonants and being able to memorize what letter combination comes most.
The choice of word is rather arbitrary, but strategic players often choose a word that contains at least two of the different vowels, plus common consonants like S, T, R, or N.
A recent paper by MIT on Wordle reports that the following words will likely eliminate some possibilities in the first round:

Instead, the NYT has launched a Wordle Archive available only to subscribers. This enables devoted players to revisit earlier puzzles while paying for the game's ongoing ones.
