In the ongoing season of layoffs, amazon now targets in its video gaming division

Amazon Layoffs Employees and this time the layoffs are in the company's video gaming sector. In the Season of Layoffs, Amazon layoffs are on a roll in this season, of layoffs. According to a report in CNBC, an executive in charge of the division delivered a message to the staff members informing them that Amazon is firing more than 100 workers in its Video Gaming Division.

According to a memo from Christoph Hartmann, Vice President of Amazon Games, those laid off included staff from the Game Growth division, Amazon's San Diego game studio, and Prime Gaming, a service targeted at users of the company's loyalty program.

Additionally, according to Mr. Hartmann, some personnel have been transferred to different initiatives "that complement our strategic purpose."

According to the memo from Mr. Hartmann, "There is never a pleasant way to share this kind of news, but we are committed to treating our impacted employees with empathy and respect and will support them by providing them with severance pay, health insurance benefits, outplacement services, and paid time to conduct their job search."

The reductions occur as Amazon CEO Andy Jassy manages the company's expenses.

Mr. Jassy disclosed last month that Amazon would be laying off an additional 9,000 employees in addition to the prior round of layoffs, which included over 18,000 people.

For its corporate workforce, the corporation likewise established a hiring freeze.

According to CNBC, Amazon also terminated a few test projects, including a healthcare service and a robot that brings products to customers' doorsteps.

An employee who was let go claimed that Amazon started calling staff members to schedule a meeting with human resources to let them know they were being let go.

The message also stated that "in the future, our resources would be coordinated to support our content focus. Our teams will continue to expand as our projects advance, and we will continue to invest in internal development efforts:

The New World team in Irvine will expand as we reallocate some resources to support it in continuing to grow.

Our Montreal studio will keep growing and is making excellent progress on an unannounced project.
