Introducing the new tracking device JioTag Air that has been developed by Reliance Jio. It is the new version of last year’s JioTag along with added features. Whereas Reliance Jio's Latest Gadget JioTag was compatible only with the JioThings app, the charm of JioTag Air is that it is compatible with Apple Find My feature also. Here are the details.

JioTag Air features

Reliance Jio's Latest Gadget JioTag Air is a stylish looking asset tracker that helps locate and track items such as keys, Identity cards/Ration cards, Wallets/Purses, Luggages, Pets and any other valuable object, which are generally misplaced and lost.

iOS and Android are compatible with it. It is operable on the devices with iOS 14 and above for iPhones and Android 9 and above.

This version is laced with Bluetooth, version 5. 3 to track wireless device. It has a built-in speaker and can, therefore, make loud sound alerts of 90-120 db thus help in searching for lost items. Above all, it connects with both Apple Find My network and the JioThings application. However, a user can select only one App at a time from the available list.

Android users can link this app as a partner for the JioThings app and trace the tagged object on this very application. For Apple Users, If JioTag Air is paired with the Apple Find My app it continually transmits low-power Bluetooth signals that other Apple devices in the Find My network can recognize such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs. These devices transfer coordinates as to the location of the JioTag Air to iCloud.

Apple users can share tagged items on the Apple Find My app with other Apple users. They can also go the Apple’s Find My app and there they can track the item linked to the JioAirTag on the map. Turning on Lost Mode will result in the sending of notifications to the linked Apple device when the lost item is picked up by the Apple Find My network.

The price of JioTag Air and where it can be purchased

Reliance Jio's Latest Gadget JioTag Air is listed on the Jio website and is available with an MRP of Rs 2,999. However, it’s priced at Rs 1,499 and can be bought. It comes in three colors; Blue, Red and Grey. Some of the bank offers that are available on the site include; Paytm cashback on payments through Paytm wallet, CredUPI, and select credit cards.
