In this scenario, Park Place Technologies optimizes data center and networking Uptime and performance worldwide via a comprehensive portfolio of IT services and products including data center hardware maintenance, infrastructure managed services, professional services, network performance monitoring software, and hardware sales. Analytics Insight has engaged in an exclusive interview with Mohammed Atif, Business Development Director, India, Park Place Technologies.

Share your thoughts on the current scenario of the data center market in India and its future outlook?

With digitalization steering the change in the post-COVID world, cloud and everything-as-a-service are fast becoming the new normal. This has led to a massive demand for data centres. Increasing internet penetration, government regulations for data generated in the country, and increasing investment by other international organisations are some of the major factors driving the demand for data centres in the country.

India has several on-premises or dedicated data centers owned by local enterprises. Over the past few years, the market has grown significantly with the rise in the development of hyperscale data centres. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a strong market enabler for digital transformation initiatives in private as well as public enterprises in India.

The increased proliferation of online shopping due to the availability of user-friendly interfaces, high-speed internet, and smart devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. is expected to drive the market in the future.

Tell us how Park Place Technologies is contributing to the data center market in India?

How are AI and Robotics evolving today in the industry as a whole? What are the most important trends that you see emerging across the globe?

IDC predicts that by 2023, 80% of enterprises will use AI-assisted, cloud-linked governance services to manage, optimize, and secure dispersed resources/data.

The AI future might seem like a far-off concept right now – but the reality is we are already halfway there. Our advanced digital infrastructures, data fabric, emerging technologies, and a growing generation of digital natives hungry for smarter tech-first products and services are setting the pace. AI is embedded within devices and software packages providing benefits barely registered by the average consumer. It delivers real-time weather reports, highlights important emails, and transforms business prospects with powerful insights. To implement advanced monitoring with existing workforce capabilities, enterprises of the future will have to look to AI-powered analytics systems for IT automation. For example, it is necessary that the flood of events in the event of a fault is independently analyzed and pre-summarized by the monitoring software. These analysis functions already exist, of course, but with an AI-based solution, fluctuations from normal operation become visible more quickly and, above all, more comprehensibly for humans. Administrators are thus able to identify the affected components much more quickly. They can also more accurately assess the potential impact on business operations.

How are Park Place Technologies utilizing advanced analytics and big data?

Our proprietary Entuity Software TM optimizes network performance through full discovery and auto-topology of network assets. These analytics offer real-time visibility of health, performance, and usage. Monitoring and analyzing this data allows us to proactively identify and isolate events to reduce MTTR and stop issues before they impact operations. Constant evaluation of data allows clients to easily scale and configure networks, and reduce CapEx and administrative overhead. It even allows clients to identify policy violations and ensure compliance.

The industry is seeing a rising importance of business and technology enablers like virtualization, convergence, and cloud. How do you see these emerging technologies impact your business sector?

The reality is that there has never been a more compelling argument for digital transformation, as the world works and plays online while pondering a more hybrid future. Businesses continue their digital transformation journeys, depending on data that resides on-premises, in public and private clouds, devices at the edge, and within networks and operation centers. Our new remote working realities have added further complexity to digital environments – and managing them has a cost and labour repercussions.

The concept of infrastructure continues to evolve radically as businesses embrace digital transformations. But in a market where data center and network maintenance is expected to exceed $185 billion annually, it's time for the industry to address servicing digital IT infrastructure servicing in harmony with third party maintenance. With the evolution of the new market category, Discovery, Monitor, Support, and Optimise (DMSO) – set to be worth $228 billion annually by 2023 – this is truer than ever before.

  • The new digital-first environment and shift to 5G require an overhaul of cloud infrastructures.
  • In a remote/hybrid model, workflows and networks need to be consistently re-evaluated – network refreshes deployed, old equipment replaced/recycled/disposed of, and audits conducted of wireless systems and transformers.
Where do you see growth coming in for the data center sector?
Digital Ecosystem

IDC predicts that by 2022, 40% of large enterprises' IT budgets are redistributed due to the adoption of integrated as-a-Service bundles in areas of cloud platforms, virtual workspace, and connectivity. While the benefits of agility, rapid enhancement, and alignment with actual business use are well-recognized, IT teams will need to constantly monitor for portfolio inflation.

Globalization

An influx of M&A activity and increasingly global teams creates stress on IT teams seeing as companies can double in size overnight. Onboarding and re-evaluating teams to maximize efficiency, and uptime and reduce waste require a dynamic, global team with experience in IT discovery and deployment services.
