EU And US Collaborate to Speed Up and Enhance the Use of Artificial Intelligence
An agreement for cooperation on “responsible breakthroughs” in artificial intelligence has been struck by the US and the EU (AI). It was described as the first comprehensive AI deal between the US and Europe by a senior US administration official. EU and US collaborate to enhance the use of AI.
The pact aims to accelerate and strengthen the application of artificial intelligence to benefit the electric grid, healthcare, emergency response, and emergency planning. In this article, we have discussed how the EU and US collaborate to speed up and enhance the use of AI.
Here’s the agreement
As stated in the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) commitment, the United States and the European Union signed an administrative agreement today to bring together experts from the U.S. and Europe to advance research on artificial intelligence (AI), computing, and related privacy-protecting technologies.
Through a joint development model, integrated research, and five key areas of focus—extreme weather and climate forecasting, health, emergency response management, medical advancements, electric grid optimization, and agriculture optimization. This collaborative effort will foster responsible advancements in AI to address significant global challenges. We are certain that the outcomes of our research will help not just our cooperation but also other foreign partners and the larger scientific community.
The declaration for the future of the internet (DFI) outlined a vision for a global network of open, free, trustworthy, and secure digital technologies, and today’s announcement expands on that goal. Through this initiative, we look forward to strengthening our relationship with the EU.
The White House and the European Commission, the executive branch of the 27-member European Union, are presently allies. The senior administration official announced that invitations to participate will be sent out in the coming days.
