Elon Musk took a dig at Bill Gates about his knowledge of artificial intelligence

Elon Musk has recently spoken out a lot on the risks posed by Artificial Intelligence. Particularly now that AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Bing from Microsoft, and Bard from Google are the talk of the planet. On the other hand, Bill Gates, a Microsoft co-founder, has advocated for AI and has frequently stated that technologies like ChatGPT are the future and will help people in their personal and professional lives. Then, in a tweet on Monday, Elon Musk takes a dig at Bill Gates fellow billionaire about his knowledge of artificial intelligence. He asserted that Gates just had a basic understanding of AI. This was in response to a tweet by Sandy Kory, who praised Bill Gates' leadership at Microsoft and his upbeat attitude toward artificial intelligence.

In a recent essay titled "The Age of AI Has Started," Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates described the impending great transformation that awaits society. In his article, Gates discussed how AI may revolutionize the workplace, healthcare, and education. On several issues, including the pandemic, spacecraft, and climate change, Elon Musk and Bill Gates have disagreed. For years, they have publicly criticized one another in interviews and on Twitter.

They also hold different opinions about generative AI. While Elon Musk thinks AI is one of the biggest threats to civilization's future and has even warned that it is "far more destructive than nukes," Bill Gates wrote in his essay about how AI has the potential to change the world.
