Shiba Inu (SHIB), often referred to as "Dogecoin Killer", was created in 2020 to fill in the shortcomings of its rival Dogecoin. However, similar to its rival, Shiba Inu has also been trading in the red over the past week, showing a decline of 6.01% to trade at $0.00001238.

Shiba Inu's price, however, is expected to surge after the meme token's pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama announced the launch of the beta version of Shiba Inu's long-awaited Layer 2 ecosystem called Shibarium in March 2023. The announcement could potentially push Shiba Inu's price upward, suggesting a 'buy' for SHIB.
