There have been several technological advances in the world over the last couple of decades, which have improved the quality of our lives by a huge amount. Thus, it can be safe to assume that the pace of innovation and technological growth is not going to slow down anytime soon, and therefore we can expect life in a few years to look very different to what it is today. In this regard, one of the technologies that is gaining acceptance and is being used quite frequently is artificial intelligence (AI).
Many companies, sectors and industries have begun looking at AI in a big way to change the way they work. This is bound to completely transform the work environment all over the world, and in conjunction with the rise in remote working, can produce significant challenges for companies to adapt to. Of course, as we stated earlier, remote working is going to be the biggest change to regular workplaces all over the world. The pandemic has led to most people having to work from home this year, but multiple surveys have shown that a majority of employees would prefer to continue doing so even when the world goes back to normal. For example, 48% of American managers surveyed said that they expect to have to increase the number of full-time employees who will be working remotely next year, while 37% of employees responded that they would want to work from home even after the pandemic subsides. Thus, this will change the way companies work, and also hire new employees, with location no longer being an issue, especially with the available technology to make remote working easier.
We are also seeing AI getting integrated into various sectors and their processes, to help improve efficiency and processes. One of the industries where this has been a trend for a while now is the online casino and gambling industry. Quite a few online casino operators have begun using AI to improve the experience for their users. For example, some online casinos have implemented AI to improve their payouts in real money slots, making it fairer, and also to ensure that cheating is not possible. Others are improving their customer service through AI, by working on the bots that are usually used as customer service chat support. Rather than providing generic answers, those bots can now provide personalized information based on the user's profile. Another technology that works well with AI is augmented reality (AR). AR is a way to superimpose digital elements onto images, which make it seem as though those elements are actually present in real life. AR is already being used in a number of popular games, such as Pokemon GO, for example, and it has similar implications for online gambling as well, where it could be used to provide a live casino experience to players while they are stuck indoors.
AI is therefore being brought into various spaces all over the world, but it will also need companies to change their policies and their approach towards employees if they are to keep them happy. HR departments will need to figure out what processes and systems will need to be put in place in this new environment to deal with the issues and complaints that will undoubtedly arise.
