Rashad Richey, PhD, J.D., MBA, who was named one of “the world’s 4 most innovative thinkers” in International Business Times (2024), has become one of media’s most influential talents and top earners by combining traditional, nontraditional, digital, and streaming media platforms, connecting with audiences across America and abroad. This Emmy-nominated national broadcaster, philanthropist, published author, physics professor and the 2023 recipient of the Top Media Estate Award from the Multicultural Media Correspondents Association, sponsored by Comcast NBC Universal, has signed a national radio syndication deal with Agents & Strategies LLC, estimated to be worth over 2.7 million dollars, airing his morning show, ‘The Dr. Rashad Richey Morning Show’ on radio stations across the USA and Canada, making him the “king of media” in more ways than one.
Dr. Richey has provided listeners at News & Talk 1380-WAOK with invigorating debates, commentary, and interviews for close to 10 years. “WAOK listeners changed my life,” said Richey. “I’m thankful for the nod Rick Caffey and Jean Ross gave me on that faithful day roughly 10 years ago. And while I will no longer broadcast my morning show from the WAOK studio, I’m thankful for the collective work we’ve done together and the work we will continue to do moving forward. Dr. Richey first began his rise to national prominence while being the on-air television political analyst for CBS News Atlanta, where he was the first (and only) political commentator to receive an Emmy nomination for his role. In 2020 and 2021, he provided weekly commentary on MSNBC, debating issues with counter-commentators on a litany of subjects, while maintaining his local weekday morning talk show in Atlanta, Georgia, the ‘Rashad Richey Morning Show’, airing on News & Talk 1380-WAOK, an Audacy station. Dr. Richey has interviewed everyone from Bobby Brown to presidential candidate, United States Vice-President Kamala Harris. His popularity in the Atlanta market earned him the distinction of being named “Most Trusted Voice in Atlanta” by the Atlanta Business Journal and was voted ‘Best Talk Radio Personality in Atlanta’ by readers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, making him the first Black broadcaster to receive the distinction. In addition to his weekly radio broadcast, Dr. Richey also holds down the air-chair as host of ‘The Dr. Rashad Richey Review’ on SiriusXM Urban View Channel 126, airing Sundays at 1 pm EST & 9 pm EST and still has enough energy to be the daily television opinion news anchor for ‘Indisputable With Dr. Rashad Richey,’ a live nationally syndicated TV show through the TYT Network, ranked the “fastest-growing TV news show in America” by HEG Evaluation Group, with over three million viewers daily. The show regularly features nationally known figures like radio giant, actor, and comedian Rickey Smiley, HBO Max’s Aida Rodriguez, news host Sharon Reed, and Enfield, North Carolina Mayor Mondale Robinson. ‘Indisputable’s’ corresponding YouTube and Facebook Watch pages have over 2.17 million combined subscribers/followers, and airs live weekdays from 2:30 pm to 4 pm EST on Comcast Xfinity, Xfinity Flex, SamsungTV, RokuTV, PlutoTV, and other national digital cable platforms.

Based on industry estimates, Dr. Richey’s media empire, which includes being president of Rolling Out, the largest free-print urban publication in America, ranges between 8.1 – 12.2 million dollars. In addition to his broadcast media prowess, Dr. Richey is a noted inventor, academician, and business owner, mastering multiple industries. His latest patented invention, the Neurological Brain Entrainment Device (NBED), which is set for medical clinical trials, explores ways to enhance human cognition. NBED has received high compliments from the scientific community and publications like MediTech and TechTimes. After matriculating at Birmingham School of Law for two years, Dr. Richey transferred to Renaissance University, an institution in academic partnership with the Faculty of Law at University of Montreal, which was founded in 1892, and is ranked as the ‘best francophone law school in the world’. He completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree (law degree) and now serves as the managing partner for the Law Office of Richey & Wilson, also known as The Fairness Firm, D.C.
Dr. Richey holds multiple advanced degrees, completing doctoral research studies at Clark Atlanta University in federal policy reform and earned his Doctor of Laws (LLD) in Immigration Law & World Economies from Azteca University. He holds an MBA from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia and Master of Science in agronomical physics from the Universite de la Renaissance, which has a framework agreement with the University of Rennes 2, the largest center for research and higher education in the field of human science in western France. His Master of Science in neuroscience, with an emphasis on neurophysics, was earned from the University of Pacific. Dr. Richey is in the final phase of completing his PhD in the Quantum Physics research program through the Innovate Knowledge Institute at Paris Graduate School, where his research focus delves into the quantum-biological connections between quantum properties and human neurological processes.
An established maverick with nuances and depth beyond the norm, Dr. Richey is the youngest inductee into the National Black Radio Hall of Fame, and received the 2023 “Distinguished Alumni Award” from Clark Atlanta University. He was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama in 2016 and is also the youngest inductee into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Ambassador Andrew Young, and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall are past recipients.
Dr. Richey is the Director of Alternative Medicine Research at the West Cascade Medical Center and a Board Certified Alternative Medical Practitioner by the American Alternative Medical Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, is Chairman of the Georgia Council for International Visitors - a US State Department program, Chairman of the International Consular Ball - 2024, and founder of the Rashad Richey Foundation, a nonprofit providing mentorship to gang-affected and gang-affiliated youth. He is a member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, Inc., the International Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Society of Black Physicists, and the International Behavioral Neuroscience Society.
While Dr. Richey was not available for interview, when asked in a previous article, how he does it all, he said, “We are more than just physical beings and capable of achieving feats congruent to our willingness to learn and our will to serve.
