The price of Solana (SOL) is down almost 3% today after the network crashed. This is just another setback for the altcoin that now finds itself down by over 10% over the last 10 days. Unfortunately, this has started to impact exchanges. Upbit announced it would temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of Solana-based tokens, including Solana.
We will get into a Solana price prediction a little later in this article, but first, we want to look at some alternatives to the altcoin. For this, we delved into the presale market and found two coins that look like they will outperform Solana in 2024.

This is very worrying for an altcoin the size of SOL has 10% is a big number for the coin. Given that this is the network's 11th outage in the last two years we think investors may be losing patience.
As you can from this price analysis, the bears are certainly winning the battle for now against the bulls. Solana may be worth buying a little into the future if the fall continues, but for now, it is certainly a stay-away as this outage likely helps the bears win the short-term battle.
So, to summarize, while we won't completely write off Solana for 2024, it is likely it will go through a rough patch before things pick up for the network. Either way, we think Bitcoin Minetrix and Meme Kombat can comfortably outperform the altcoin in 2024. Both have unique properties that are causing their presales to rocket toward their final goal and that should continue into their respective listings.
