Amid scandals, Bitboy leaves crypto show, startling crypto community

Ben Armstrong, a controversial YouTuber and cryptocurrency influencer known as Bitboy, has announced that he is ending his three-year run of the daily Crypto show. Armstrong stated that his choice was primarily motivated by legal and financial difficulties, in addition to personal problems and accusations made against him.

Armstrong began releasing videos on cryptocurrency news, trends, and price forecasts on his Bitboy Crypto channel in 2018. He attracted a large following and became well-known very fast, peaking at over 1.5 million members. In the middle of 2023, he also introduced the $BEN coin, a cryptocurrency that he described as a social token that rewarded his devoted followers.

Unfortunately, Armstrong's situation deteriorated in late 2023 when he lost his job at BJ Investment Holdings, which is the parent firm of Bitboy Crypto and Hit Network. The corporation released a statement stating that Armstrong was fired as a result of "serious and personal allegations" including "substance abuse" and "emotional, physical, and financial damage" to the staff and the community.

Armstrong refuted the claims and charged that TJ Shedd and Justin Williams, his previous business partners, were attempting to seize control of the firm and the Bitboy name. Additionally, he said that the majority of token holders supported him and that he was the only owner of the $BEN currency. In an attempt to recover control of the Bitboy Crypto channel and the $BEN currency, he launched a lawsuit against the business.

Armstrong's integrity and image were damaged by the ensuing controversies and drama that were brought on by the litigation. He disclosed that he was having an affair with the CEO of $BEN coin, a former employee, on one of his livestreams. Additionally, he acknowledged using certain medications, including diet pills but denied taking more potent medicines.

In a different webcast, he was detained at the residence of a previous business associate who reported him for pilfering and invading. Armstrong said that he had authorization to enter the residence and that he was there to get some of his possessions. Later, he was granted bail and freed.

Armstrong announced his resignation from his daily crypto show, which he has been hosting since 2018, in his farewell video, which was uploaded on his personal YouTube account. He claimed that the program was no longer lucrative and that his monthly legal bills were costing him $100,000. He said that he was being threatened and sued by several people, including one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the world, FTX.

Armstrong expressed his regret for his errors and his gratitude to his followers for their support. He declared that he would continue to make videos for his channel on occasion and that he was not giving up on cryptocurrency. In addition, he expressed his goal of getting his legal problems resolved and returning stronger in the future.
