Discover the Revolutionary Functionality of ChatGPT Unveiling Feature to Interpret Code

ChatGPT, an artificial-intelligence-powered chatbot created by OpenAI, has recently impressed the globe with the prose it can compose. The A.I. chatbot dazzles users by making charts and maps and converting photographs into films.

This is due to a new code interpreter tool that OpenAI introduced to ChatGPT Plus customers last week. Here’s what you need to know about it.

 What Is Code Interpreter?

ChatGPT may utilize the code interpreter to analyze data, make charts, solve arithmetic problems, and edit files, among other things. It also allows you to upload and download files previously unavailable in ChatGPT.

The code interpreter was made accessible to ChatGPT Plus users on Thursday for US$20 per month. Subscribers can access similar add-on capabilities that enable ChatGPT users access to third-party services such as Expedia and OpenTable.

 How Does Code Interpreter Work?

When users ask ChatGPT a question, the chatbot makes an educated estimate based on a technique known as a large language model, or L.L.M., which predicts the next word in a sequence.

However, ChatGPT writes and runs a piece of computer code to determine the solution when the code interpreter is activated, according to OpenAI. This enables the chatbot to execute previously unimaginable activities, such as conducting complex computations and creating charts based on data uploaded by the user, all of which are handled by code.

Some claim that using a code interpreter minimizes the likelihood of errors, which is a typical issue regarding L.L.M.s.

“The code does something objectively right,” said Ethan Mollick, an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania who evaluated the code translator for two months before it was released.

What Have People Done with Code Interpreters?

Data analysis is the most typical use of a code interpreter.

With a request like “tell me what is interesting about the data,” ChatGPT may sift through a user’s data, such as financial, health, or geographical information, and provide insights about them. Financial experts have discovered applications for the technology in their profession, such as analyzing stock prices and creating budgets.

Researchers have also begun to use the technology for innovative data visualization. Dr. Mollick recently employed a code interpreter to produce a three-dimensional chart of the Billboard Hot 100 list and an interactive map of every lighthouse in the United States. Some people have also used code interpreters to convert file formats, such as photographs to movies or PDF documents to pictures.

Arvind Narayanan, a computer science professor at Princeton University, advised that users should only rely a little on code interpreters for data analysis because A.I. still provides erroneous findings and disinformation.

“Appropriate data analysis just requires a lot of critical thinking about the data,” he added.
