Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shared his thoughts on the AI development race in an event

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates discussed the technological race to create highly developed artificial intelligence (AI) agents. He said that during a gathering named AI Forward 2023. He thinks that search engines, productivity apps, and online stores might all be negatively impacted by these AI agents.

Gates boldly said, "You'll never go to a search site again," at the event, implying that AI agents will revolutionize how people conduct online research and make purchases. Even more, he declared, "You'll never go to Amazon," implying that the conventional method of purchasing on e-commerce sites may undergo significant change.

Gates stated that he wanted Microsoft to be at the vanguard of this technical race, but he also admitted that there was a 50% chance that a startup would overtake Microsoft as the dominant player.

Gates expressed his admiration for Inflection AI, a business co-founded by serial entrepreneur Reid Hoffman. The business wants to change how people and machines communicate. The entire sector has been attempting to create AI-powered digital assistants that can comprehend and carry out activities in response to voice or text orders from customers.

Gates highlighted the importance of winning the competition to develop a personal AI agent, seeing it as a significant innovation in the field. He said that the creation of such an agent could fundamentally alter how people use technology and rely on AI-powered support for a range of jobs.
