Revuto has been in the headlines after announcing its partnership with Cardahub. But this time things are different, it is a unique and innovative product – lifelong digital subscriptions to the Netflix and Spotify services via the Revulution NFT. As of July 11, a total of 10,000 interested users will be able to purchase a limited edition NFT on Revuto's website. Got you jumping from your seats? Well, that's exactly what Revuto is going after. Revuto is leading the charge to tip the scales back to the consumer and reduce unnecessary subscription expenses in a number of ways. The limited edition of Revulution NFTs will be available on Revuto's website at the price of US$349, and the sale will kick off at 12 pm CET on July 11. Users will be able to pay for the Revuto NFT with credit or debit cards or using crypto.
In the European setup, users will issue one virtual debit card (VDC) for each subscription. The VDC is essentially an idle card, which means 90% of the time, there is no money on the card. Every month, Revuto sends the user a notification for each subscription to either block, snooze, or approve a subscription payment. If a user blocks a payment, that essentially means they are skipping one month. The merchant will see an empty VDC that has insufficient funds for that month and will simply disable access until the next billing cycle. Although the VDC is empty, the merchant sees it as a valid card, even though there are no funds available.
"Based on the feedback we received from our 350,000 active and verified users, we have decided to give the community exactly what they have asked for – a solution that guarantees a stable subscription fee that they can share with their friends or family members simply and straightforwardly. Moreover, in case they are not using the service, the users can simply get their money back or even profit from selling the NFTs. We wish to enable everyone to efficiently manage their subscriptions and, eventually, to make the digital subscription market fairer and more equitable," said Vedran Vukman, CEO and cofounder of Revuto.
With Revulution NFTs, the plan is to "revulutionize" how people subscribe to services while allowing them to subscribe to any service in the world for any period of time and send or sell (monetize) unused subscription periods to others. In allowing you that, the company believes that Revulution NFTs will become the most crucial piece of the Revuto ecosystem to date. And it's just the beginning.
Let's say you want to subscribe to a specific service for a longer period to get a discount. In most cases, the service provider will offer you to buy a one-year subscription to do so. In contrast, with Revuto you'll be able to buy any subscription for any period and get a discount. The purchased "subscription" NFT should never have a value less than the subscription period left since after enjoying the subscription for some time you'll be able to send or sell it to others. The new owner will be able to use the same subscription until the NFT expires (the subscription period ends).
"Our Revulution NFT for Netflix or Spotify is just the start, and also an introduction to the subscription NFTs that people will be able to use to pay for any subscription in the world, for however long they want. Also, by using this particular innovation, the users will get discounts when selecting their subscriptions, coupled with the possibility of either gifting or selling them to other users. With such a unique approach, Revuto is introducing something completely new to the world of subscriptions, something that will enable the creation of an entirely new market of prepaid unused subscriptions. I am immensely proud of the team behind this project, and we are all looking forward to everything that is coming in the future. We are confident the market and existing user base will once again react positively to what we have done," added Josipa Majić, cofounder of Revuto.
