Vehant and NIT Calicut join forces to co-teach and work on AI/ML projects

Vehant Technologies, an AI/ML-based smart security and surveillance solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut to teach BTech/MTech and PhD students alongside NIT teachers and Vehant scientists. The cooperation will promote collaborative projects between NITC students, professors, and Vehant's R&D team, with an emphasis on developing and using AI/ML technologies in security domains such as physical security, surveillance, traffic monitoring, and enterprise analytics.

The collaboration between NITC and Vehant Technologies demonstrates a mutual commitment to knowledge generation, dissemination, and application in the field of AI/ML. Both signatories have agreed to make major contributions to academics and industry through cooperative efforts. NITC and Vehant have committed to working together in various areas of AI/ML education and related fields to recognize each other's potential. Given their mutual interests, NITC academics will engage in Vehant's proposed activities and provide scholarly assistance. The partnership seeks to stimulate the generation of new knowledge by presenting and publishing discoveries at conferences and in technical publications.

After successfully signing the Memorandum of Understanding with NIT Calicut, Mr Anoop G. Prabhu, CTO of Vehant Technologies, commented, "By combining the expertise of NIT Calicut's distinguished faculty with the innovative spirit of Vehant's R&D team, we're creating a dynamic learning space for BTech/MTech and PhD students. Our joint goal is to provide important insights into the realm of security solutions by presenting findings at conferences and journals. We are convinced that this partnership will not only improve students' academic experiences but will also lead to revolutionary AI/ML improvements in security. We look forward to the positive outcomes that will certainly result from our collaborative efforts with NIT Calicut."

Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director of NITC, emphasized the goal of the MoU, stating, "This MoU intends to ensure collaborative research on applications of AI/ML techniques to many areas of mutual interest. NIT Calicut will take on projects from Vehant in which students and faculty from NITC will collaborate with Vehant's R&D staff, with a particular emphasis on the application of AI/ML techniques to physical security, surveillance, and traffic monitoring, thereby facilitating the spread of systems knowledge among students.
