Microsoft is continuing its partnership with OpenAI, the company that is behind the development of ChatGPT, through a new multi-year, multi-billion-dollar investment to accelerate the development of AI technology. partnerships are expected to take AI innovations to the next level.

Microsoft and OpenAI partnership for AI development was made just a few weeks after Microsoft was allegedly planning to invest enormous sums of money in OpenAI, the company behind well-known AI products like ChatGPT and DALL-E 2. Microsoft has now invested in this company thrice. In the years 2019 and 2021, Microsoft made its initial investments in OpenAI. Since that original financing, it has "quietly" invested an additional US$2 billion, according to the reports. The precise amount of Microsoft's investment in OpenAI is unknown. Some unknown claim says that Microsoft is reportedly investing $10 billion over "several years."

One of the prime goals of the Microsoft and OpenAI partnership is to democratize AI and make it accessible to everyone.  Microsoft has three methods in mind to achieve this objective. First Microsoft will put more resources into creating and using specialized supercomputers to speed up OpenAI's research. Second Microsoft has plans to use OpenAI's models in its consumer and enterprise products and provide new digital experiences using OpenAI's technology. Next Microsoft Azure will power all OpenAI workloads as the company's only cloud provider. Since its launch in 2016, Microsoft has been working independently to make Azure an AI supercomputer for everyone. By working together, Microsoft and OpenAI can move that goal one step closer to reality. One of the most cutting-edge natural language processing models to date, GPT-3, was created as a result of the collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI.
