Cyberhaven launches Linea AI to combat insider risks to data

Cyberhaven Inc., a data detection and response platform provider, today announced the debut of "Linea AI," a new AI platform designed to address key insider vulnerabilities in corporate data.

Linea AI, designed to match the aggregate intelligence of security analysts, uses human-like understanding across processes to analyze an organization's data. It determines when data is at risk and what protection is required, according to Cyberhaven, and does it "with unmatched precision."

Linea AI is said to vary from typical data security methods by gaining a more detailed knowledge of how individuals and teams work. According to Cyberhaven, the method enables Linea AI to discover data that standard security technologies would otherwise overlook or obfuscate with false positives.

"Our goal was to create a solution that not only detects and stops critical risks but does so with the efficiency and precision that modern enterprises require," said Howard Ting, the company's chief executive officer. "Linea AI is that solution and represents the culmination of years of research and the latest advances in AI technology."

The new AI service has several key features, including risk identification, risk prioritization, incident summaries, smart remediation, and guided prevention. The AI detects abnormal behavior and analyses business workflows to forecast when the next likely action or behavior will occur, spotting employees who mishandle sensitive data and what they may do next.

"It's AI that embodies the collective intelligence and insight of the best security analysts and applies it at scale, not just triage and investigation but to detection," he said.
