Adobe's new AI tool lets you generate and tweak music with text

Adobe announced on Wednesday that it is working on a new AI-generated music tool Project Music GenAI Control. This prototype tool composes music using text prompts and edits these clips without using any dedicated software.

With this AI-generated music tool, Adobe wants to simplify the music editing process so that anyone can tweak the AI compositions as per their choice.  According to Adobe, the AI-generated tool Project Music GenAI Control will help anyone to generate music as well as edit it so you can try things out. With this, you don't have to be a composer to compose music.

Using Project Music GenAI Control, users can adjust things like tempo, intensity, melody patterns, and structure of the AI-generated tune. Sections can be remixed, and the length of an audio clip can be extended by looping it, crucial for podcast intros and outros. Adobe says that users can also refine the AI music composition by providing a reference melody allowing higher customization in the AI-generated music tool.

Adobe is working on the Project Music GenAI Control which is still in the early phase of development. The tool has been developed in collaboration with the University of California and the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

As of now, Project Music GenAI can be used by amateur creators and podcast producers who want to create customized music without any formal training but later can be used by sound designers and composers to refine AI-generated melodies.
