WhatsApp to Add Feature to Block Messages from Unknown Senders

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will allow users to block messages from unknown accounts.
This feature of WhatsApp will improve the performance of their device, while also keeping their account safe.
The rollout of this feature is currently in progress for select users, with no clarity on when it will be widely available to all users.
Once activated, the feature will block messages from unknown accounts that cross a specific threshold.
WhatsApp has also started rolling out the ability to "like" status updates on the messaging app, allowing users to quickly react to photo, video, and text stories uploaded by other users.
