Meta launched a new content moderation tool to help platforms identify and remove violating content at scale
As part of its commitment to counter-terrorism, Meta will chair the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) and has developed the Hasher-Matcher-Actioner (HMA) tool.
The HMA tool is open source, designed to help platforms, especially smaller ones, to stop the spread of terrorist content.
Meta has invested approximately $5 billion globally on safety and security, employing over 40,000 people in these efforts.
Meta welcomes the principles of transparency, accountability, and user empowerment at the heart of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and has introduced additional measures to align with it.
