Google has announced that it will soon be incorporating large sections of the Android operating system into its ChromeOS.
It is aiming to speed up the introduction of artificial intelligence capabilities. The tech giant plans to adopt components such as the Android Linux kernel and frameworks as the core of ChromeOS.
Additionally, Google mentioned that it would simplify the development process and enhance compatibility between devices like smartphones and accessories, as well as Chromebooks.
Google is clearly eager to encourage Chromebook users to explore as many AI features as they can, and these updates are expected to facilitate this.
However, the company has also warned that although the modifications to the operating system's technical foundation are underway, they will not be available to the general public for a significant period.
