With the latest update, watchOS 11, Apple is introducing Live Activities to the Apple Watch in an intelligent manner, mirroring the functionality found on the iPhone's Live Activities.
This integration occurs seamlessly whenever a Live Activity is active on the iPhone connected to the Watch.
On the Apple Watch, Live Activities are displayed in the Smart Stack, which can be viewed by turning the Digital Crown in a clockwise direction.
For developers, Apple offers APIs in watchOS 11 to tailor live activities to the Apple Watch's unique appearance and feel.
watchOS 11 is set to launch to the general public this autumn. A developer beta version is now accessible, with a public beta version scheduled for next month.
