On Tuesday, Samsung Electronics announced that it has finished constructing the necessary facilities to manufacture quicker and more effective microchips for artificial intelligence (AI) computing.
This new infrastructure for the compute express link (CXL) technology was established at Samsung Memory Research Center in Hwaseong.
The CXL technology facilitates smooth interaction among computer processing units, accelerators, and memory chips.
It is viewed as the next-generation memory technology that comes after high-bandwidth memory, according to Yonhap news agency.
Song Taek-sang, the leader of the Samsung Electronics' latest team focused on developing DRAM solutions, mentioned that the collaboration with "Red Hat" enables the company to provide CXL memory products.
