Indosat & Google Cloud Launch Sovereign Cloud for Enterprise AI

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to provide the first sovereign and edge cloud services in Indonesia, supporting AI development.
The partnership will offer Google Distributed Cloud to organizations in Indonesia, enabling them to run AI and data-intensive workloads at their preferred locations.
The collaboration includes access to Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform, Vertex AI, and pre-trained machine learning models for tasks like speech-to-text, translation, and optical character recognition.
The GDC offering will help Indonesian organizations, especially in the public sector and critical industries, to accelerate digital transformation while ensuring complete control and protection of their sensitive data.
The partnership adheres to Indonesia's legal and sovereignty frameworks, including the Personal Data Protection Law and Government Regulation No. 71, ensuring compliance with data residency and privacy regulations.
