Cloudflare introduced an "easy button" to block all AI bots, scrapers, and crawlers with a single click, available to all customers including the free tier.
The feature aims to preserve a safe internet for content creators by preventing unlicensed use of website data for training AI models.
Cloudflare's AI uses machine learning to detect and block bots that scrape content for training large language models, even those attempting to avoid detection.
Despite some AI bots following rules like adhering to robots.txt, Cloudflare customers overwhelmingly prefer to block all AI bots from their websites.
The blocking feature will be updated over time to adapt to new AI scraping techniques and the emergence of new bots.
