Genesis, a bankrupt cryptocurrency lender, and Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange, announced on Wednesday that they have returned over $2 billion in digital assets to over 232,000 individual investors through their shared Gemini Earn program. This refund has offered investors a return on their investments of 242% since the start of January 2023. Around 97% of the payments will be made to Gemini clients right away, while the rest will be settled within a year. The company expected that its customers, which included bigger investors not part of the Earn program, would achieve a 77% recovery rate throughout the bankruptcy.
